The dazzling defensive demonstration definitely was worthy of the league leading Chiefs.
On a Sunday night when the moon above was full, the cheap nfl jerseys Chiefs below generally came up empty against the Orange's most crushing defense of the season. The last time the Broncos held an opponent to as few as 17 points was last season.
"It was a good, tough hard fought wholesale nfl jerseys win at home," Broncos coach Jack Del Rio said. "We did enough to win. We knew they had a good defense coming in. Our offense did a good job of moving the ball and getting points."
The Chiefs scored only nine at home against Denver, and just three here in the Broncos' games of 2012. In the final game of 2011, the Chiefs had seven points in Denver.
Arriving at this crucial divisional matchup in the 10th of 16 games, the Chiefs were allowing only 12.3 points per, and nobody had scored more than 17.
Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith, who had been managing well in nine wholesale jerseys consecutive victories, completed only 21 of 45 passes against a dominant defense that produced three sacks for 30 yards, five quarterback hits, plenty of hurry hurries and rock solid coverage. Shaun Phillips, Danny Trevathan, Dominique Rodgers Cromartie, Wesley Woodyard and the interior linemen no longer belong in the league's low end.
Meanwhile, the Broncos cheap jerseys scored 27 in a quality control performance by Peyton Manning (323 yards, but only one touchdown throw) and his offense. Interestingly, Knowshon Moreno outgained Jamaal Charles 79 78 in rushing yards, and Montee Ball added 25 and two short touchdown bursts. Demaryius Thomas had a 70 yard reception among his five for 121 yards.
With cheap nfl jerseys the Chiefs and the Broncos both 9 1, a tiebreaker to decide the champions of the AFC West and the No. 1 seed in the AFC becomes a genuine issue. It's quite possible that the common opponents of the Broncos and the Chiefs could be brought into play.
And there have been a lot of common very common opponents on both schedules.
After the Sunday afternoon results, the Broncos and the Chiefs combined have beaten only one team barely above .500.
The Broncos have lost to the 7 3 Colts. The Chiefs confront the Colts in Kansas City in their next to last game. Sunday, the Broncos play at the Patriots, 7 2. The Chiefs are at home against the Chargers.
The Chiefs and the Broncos will face 14 common opponents, including Oakland and San Diego each twice.
The only differences are the Broncos have New England and Baltimore, the Chiefs have Buffalo and Cleveland. The Broncos blew out the Ravens in the opener, and the Chiefs have defeated the Bills and the Browns.
The Broncos and the Chiefs could end up, realistically, 14 2, 13 3 or 12 4.
What happens then?
The first tiebreaker is head to head, and if the Broncos prevail again at Arrowhead Stadium, the matter is settled.
Should the teams split and have the same overall record at the conclusion of the regular season, the second tiebreaker is division record. The Chiefs and the Broncos could be 5 1, although the Chiefs' finale in San Diego and the Broncos' 16th game, in Oakland, might be very important
What's the next tiebreaker? Common opponents. The fourth tiebreaker is conference record, and that could be a deal breaker for the Broncos with a loss in Foxborough.
The Chiefs have no more out of division conference games left.
Yet, if the Broncos win over the Patriots, and Kansas City and Denver also have matching conference records, the tiebreaking measure goes to No. 5, and the Broncos would be secure.
Is that clear as Mississippi River mud? Is the division uncertain and unpredictable?Did the victory by the Broncos Sunday night determine anything?
Yes. The Broncos certainly were superior to the Chiefs on offense . and principally and particularly on defense. No question mark.

2015-Jan-25 - Kansas City Chiefs really are NFL frauds
Kansas City Chiefs really are NFL frauds

Peyton Manning looks just fineNov 17:Hobbled Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos run over Chiefs for AFC's top spotBronco's Jack Del Rio interviewed for USC head coaching Cheap Jerseys job
Unlike the cheap wedding dresses Kansas City Frauds, Peyton Manning is the real deal.
On a gimpy ankle, Manning threw for 323 yards against an overrated defense. But, truth be told, Denver beat Kansas City 27 17 in an AFC West showdown where the outcome was never really in doubt for a very simple reason:
In a league ruled by quarterbacks, Denver has one capable of leading his team to the Super Bowl.
Kansas City has grit, desire, toughness and all those qualities of a team trying to hide an obvious flaw: Alex Smith's arm isn't strong enough to wrestle with Manning or any other elite NFL quarterback.
Was the No. "We scored 27 points," said Thomas, chuckling.
Denver scored the most points surrendered by Kansas City this season. And the up tempo, high octane Broncos did it without really trying.
Check that. The Broncos beat Kansas City at its own conservative game.
It was obvious Denver's game plan was specifically designed to protect Manning's health and keep him out of harm's way.
The play calling by offensive coordinator Adam Gase was by far the most conservative approach shown by Denver all season. Want some obvious proof?
During the previous nine games, the Broncos threw on first down nearly 54 percent of the time. Against Kansas City, the Broncos ran the football on 69 percent of their 32 first down snaps.
Why the dramatic change? "We did not want this game to get out of balance where we were throwing it 45 times or 50 and 20 run attempts," Manning said. "I can't speak for the Chiefs defense, but we felt balanced in trying to keep them from emphasizing just one thing: Being able to tee off in the pass rush."
Props to the Denver defense, improving with each week. Linebacker Von Miller is back from suspension and soon to return is perennial Pro Bowl cornerback Champ Bailey.
Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas stiff arms Kansas City's Kendrick Lewis. More photos. (The Denver Post)
But here's what makes Kansas City a fraud as a championship contender in 2013: an inept offense. was able to muster.
This Kansas City defense is not Da Bears of Ditka. Brandon Flowers, Derrick Johnson, Dontari Poe and the fellows in red, however, did make Manning work for every inch of real estate.
"We did enough to win," said Broncos coach Jack Del Rio, who saw much room for improvement. "It's certainly easier to address those concerns with a smile on your face."
In five of its previous nine games, with Manning looking as if he were in a hurry, hurry to break every passing record in the NFL book, Denver punted no more than three times. forced Manning off the field three times with a series ending in a punt.
Kansas City can't win cheap evening dresses the Super Bowl for a reason that coach Andy Reid certainly knows deep in his heart. His offense is too elementary. Quarterback Smith is the football equivalent of Ambien. He eases a coach's worries. Nothing bad ever happens. But not much exciting happens. And next thing you know, you're sound asleep on the sofa.
Smith graduated summa cum laude from the Bob Griese School of Game Management. This was a fine way to play quarterback, in 1972. But the game has changed. Unless the NFL rolls back the clock 40 years before the next Super Bowl, the Chiefs won't be in it.
Denver is back on top in the AFC West, and controls its destiny in the race for the conference's No. 1 seed. Forget Kansas City. What awaits the Broncos is the toughest challenge:
Tom Brady is a quarterback fully capable of matching Manning touchdown pass for touchdown pass. Reid might well be coach of the year for giving one of the NFL's great cities a reason for renewed hope, but he is no Bill Belichick when it comes to devising ways to frustrate Manning.
Kansas City was never the main threat to the Broncos for AFC supremacy. That is the job more suited to New England.
You served a noble purpose, forcing the Broncos to earn a victory that was more grit than glamour.
Now, go sit on the porch, young pups, and leave the real AFC fight to the big dogs.

2015-Jan-25 - NFL Free Agents Still Available Include Michael Turner
NFL Free Agents Still Available Include Michael Turner
David Carr: The first overall pick in the 2002 NFL draft lost a pre season battle with Curtis Painter to backup Eli Manning. Carr had spent four of the last five seasons with the New York Giants when he was released.
Vince Young: The 2006 Offensive Rookie of the Year's quest to become the Green Bay Packers' backup quarterback fell short. General Manager Ted Thompson put some of the blame on himself because Young was signed after training camp started. Young, who hasn't played in the NFL since 2011 with the Philadelphia Eagles, has a 31 19 record as a starter.
Peyton Hillis: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released Hillis after he was inactive for the first two games of the season. Hillis' career has been on a downward spiral ever since he rushed for 1,177 yards with the Cleveland Browns in 2010.
Michael Turner: Turner was a salary cap casualty in March when the Atlanta Falcons decided his $6.9 million salary was too much for a 31 year old running back with declining production. His 800 rushing yards with 3.6 yards per carry in 2012 were the lowest totals during his five seasons with the Falcons.
Others: Cedric Benson, Tim Hightower, Joe McKnight, Chris Rainey, Beanie Wells
Lavelle Hawkins: The Patriots released Hawkins early in training camp because they were comfortable with their rookie wide receivers. Hawkins quickly signed with the San Francisco 49ers but didn't make the team despite a productive pre season. He has worked out for the Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions since the 49ers released him.
Laurent Robinson: The Jacksonville Jaguars released Robinson after a series of concussions limited him to seven games in 2012 despite a $2 million guaranteed roster bonus. Robinson has worked out for several teams since receiving medical clearance for his concussions in July. Some teams view Robinson as a medical risk because of the concussions.
Others: Steve Breaston, Braylon Edwards, Brandon Lloyd (retired?), Mohamed Massaquoi, David Nelson, Courtney Roby
Lance Louis (OG): The Miami Dolphins cut Louis because of his slower than expected recovery from an ACL tear in his right knee. Jason Smith (OT): The second overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft hasn't lived up to expectations. He spent the 2012 season with the New York Jets as a backup after the St. Louis Rams traded him for Wayne Hunter shortly before the start of the regular season. The New Orleans Saints signed him to compete with Charles Brown at left tackle. Smith was released after Brown easily won the starting job in training camp. He quickly re signed with the Jets but he didn't make the roster. The San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans have worked out Smith since the Jets released him.
Others: Jammal Brown, (OT), Jared Gaither (OT), Stephen Peterman (OG)
Andre Carter (DE): The Oakland Raiders released Carter because of his inability to generate a pass rush during the pre season. Carter worked out for the New England Patriots recently. He earned the lone Pro Bowl selection of his career with the Patriots in 2011 when he had 10 sacks in 14 games.
Richard Seymour (DT): The Atlanta Falcons were interested in Seymour during the off season but his price tag was too high. Seymour will remain on the sidelines unless he lowers his salary demands.
Others: Mark Anderson (DE), Justin Bannan (DT), Rocky Bernard (DT), Casey Hampton (DT), Lawrence Jackson (DE), replica christian louboutin Sione Po'uha (DT), Kyle Vanden Bosch (DE)
Leroy Hill (OLB): A January domestic violence incident in which Hill faced felony charges likely contributed to the lack of interest in free agency. Takeo Spikes (ILB): The 15 year veteran was released by the San Diego Chargers in March primarily because of a new head coach and general manager being hired. Spikes had 66.23% playtime with the Chargers in 2012. The San Francisco 49ers expressed some interest in Spikes Cheap Jerseys From China during the pre season.
Others: Michael Boley, (OLB), Jo Lonn Dunbar (OLB), Thomas Howard (OLB), Barrett Rudd (ILB)
Kenny Phillips (S): Phillips inability to shake the injury bug that plagued him when he was with the New York Giants kept him from making the Philadelphia Eagles. He was limited to one pre season game because of a quadriceps injury.
Kerry Rhodes (S): Rhodes, a starter in 116 of his 118 career games, hasn't generated much interest around the NFL since the Arizona Cardinals released him in March after he refused to take a paycut. The New York Giants brought Rhodes in for a workout last week. Rhodes was the fourth ranked safety in 2012 according the Pro Football Focus.
Antoine Winfield (CB): The three time Pro Bowler announced his retirement after the Seattle Seahawks released NFL Jerseys Wholesale him at the final roster cutdown. He had limited value to Seattle with Walter Thurmond winning the third cornerback spot because 36 year olds usually aren't big special teams contributors. Others: Ronald Bartell (CB), Stanford Routt (CB), James Sanders (S), Marcus Trufant (CB)

2015-Jan-25 - GIANTS EXPECT HUGE RETURNS FROM MITCHELL
GIANTS EXPECT HUGE RETURNS FROM MITCHELL
Brian Mitchell can often be counted on to add fuel to an already blazing fire. Two years ago, he suggested his Eagles go after the broken left arm of Tiki Barber, a cruel sentiment that did not sit well with the Giants nor Barber.
Well, wipe Mitchell off the Giants most despised list. Once again jumping from one arch rival to another, Mitchell yesterday signed a four year, $3.55 million contract with the Giants that includes a signing bonus of $500,000 and a first year salary of $755,000 (for a salary cap number for 2003 of a modest $880,000). The deal also includes $500,000 per year in incentives.
Mitchell, who started his career with the Redskins before moving to the Eagles, arrives to fortify the punt and kickoff returns, proving the Giants are dead serious about improving their special teams. Mitchell has talent and, at least as important, a swagger and personality that the Giants have lacked in that area.
know how the New York fans are and I know how I am, I going to try to bring as much as I can, Mitchell said from Newark Airport before Cheap Snapbacks boarding a flight back to Philadelphia.
Later, he added, plan on bringing the same type of kick butt attitude that I had for my first 13 years. He usually brings a lot. Sometime this season, Mitchell who turns 35 on Aug. 18 will break Jerry Rice NFL all purpose yardage record. Given his age, this is a clear sign from the Giants that they consider themselves contenders. Mitchell has missed only one game in his first 13 years and has played in 193 consecutive regular season games.
Mitchell paid a visit Sunday afternoon and negotiations were swift and decisive. Giants were our No. 1 choice and I Wholesale Hats think we were theirs, said Mitchell agent, Steve Baker.
guy is a pest to play against, added GM Ernie Accorsi. you have that chi flat iron official website department taken care of, it gives you peace of mind. Sean Landeta, the free agent punter who yesterday visited the Giants and Jets, was a teammate of Mitchell the past three years. a great pickup, Landeta said. guy is such a pro. The Eagles would not give Mitchell anything above the veteran minimum, allowing the Giants to add their greatest threat in the return game since David Meggett left town following the 1994 season. Mitchell is coming off another fine showing, averaging 12.3 yards on punt returns (plus a 76 yard touchdown) and a career best 27 yard average on kickoff returns.
The Giants last year averaged 20.7 yards on kickoffs and 7.6 yards on punts, primarily using rookie Delvin Joyce. Mitchell might be used as a third down back but the signing has no impact on Ron Dayne, who will return.
The Giants courted linebacker chi flat iron website Rosevelt Colvin Sunday night and yesterday were visited by defensive lineman Brad Scioli, who went to dinner last night with line coach Denny Marcin. enthusiastic about New York, that for sure, said Scioli agent, Brett Senior.
Scioli is from Penn State, which is near and dear to Accorsi heart, and he could be the next signing.
In signing Brian Mitchell, the Giants added the most prolific kick and punt return man in NFL history. Mitchell, who has spent 13 seasons with the Redskins and Eagles, is the NFL all time leader in several statistical categories:

2015-Jan-25 - Kansas City Chiefs on the Forbes NFL Team Valuations
Kansas City Chiefs on the Forbes NFL Team Valuations List
The Kansas City Chiefs had a disastrous 2012 season, and team chairman Clark Hunt cleaned house soon after the season cheap prom dresses online finished. Last year, the team endured the heartbreaking murder suicide of linebacker Jovan Belcher in December. On the field, they finished the season with a Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale league worst 2 14 record. Hunt fired head coach Romeo Crennel and Cheap NFL Jerseys general manager Scott Pioli and brought in longtime Philadelphia Eagles coach Any Reid and former Green Bay Packers executive John Dorsey as replacements. Quarterback Alex Smith also came to Kansas City and will take over an offense that scored fewer points than any other team in the NFL last season. Chiefs' attendance fell 5% last season, even though the team had cut ticket prices two years in a row. But if the new Chiefs can turn the organization around, fans should come back quickly. As recently as 2008, Kansas City ranked fifth in the NFL cheap wedding dresses online in attendance. [.] more
